Deep Purple is the color of royalty, whereas
a lighter purple, such as lavender, is a
symbolic color of romance. Many of us have
our own interpretations of what the perfect
purple color is, and we would all be right.
Purple, is simply a color that is derived
from combining red and blue, the strongest
warm and strongest cool colors, together.
Any shade of purple can result from this
combination, from lavender to lilac to burgundy,
to the color you see above (which is
considered a "generic" or "concord grape"
purple, by the way).
So you want purple candles in your home
or wedding event and need to know what
colors will compliment it?
The purple candle shown above is a mid range
- meaning, it is just as "warm" as it is
"cool", so it will go nicely with either
warm or cool colors. Golden Yellow,
Lavender, Kiwi, Hunter Green and Pink all go
very well with this particular color of
purple.
Not surprisingly, as color trends
continuously change, just about anything
goes! Using our
interactive color-scape tool, "drag" a
purple candle onto the workspace and bring
other colors in to see how they look.
